An email alias is an email that uses exactly the same mailbox along with the original e-mail. For instance, you could have [email protected] as your authentic e-mail address and create an alias [email protected]. Each of the addresses will be able to share the exact same mailbox, so messages sent to either one of them will be received in one place. You can use aliases for a number of needs, such as communicating with various groups of people or enrolling on websites. If you ever begin to get lots of spam, for example, you can just remove the alias whilst your actual mailbox won't be changed at all and you will maintain the e-mails you need. Aliases are often regarded as an alternative to forwarding emails from one mailbox to another one if you use a couple of email address for contact on your web site.
